Eat Like a Viking

Harvard Medical School’s health blog touts the advantages of the Nordic diet, which focuses on seasonal, plant-based foods eaten in the region and favors canola oil as a source of healthy fat. “Canola oil is high in healthy monounsaturated fat,” writes Julie Corliss, executive editor of the Harvard Heart Letter in the blog post. “But it also contains some alpha-linolenic acid, a plant-based omega-3 fatty acid similar to the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish.”
