A recent research review published in JAMA Internal Medicine, covered by WebMD, found that by regularly eating foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like canola oil may lower your risk of fatal heart disease. “Our results lend support to the importance of fish and plant-based omega-3 consumption as part of a healthy diet,” said senior study author Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, Dean of the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, Boston.
