Busting Web Myths

The Internet creates a large forum for rumors to spread, particularly about canola oil. NutritionAction.com, a publication of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, notes this in an article intended to help dispel the misinformation and provide helpful facts about the neutral cooking oil. Among other points, a professor of food science explains that most critics confuse canola with rapeseed. Other industry experts provide support in the article, such as Peter Jones, Canada Research Chair in Nutrition and Functional Foods at the University of Manitoba, and Jennifer Marchand from Cargill.
