Canola Oil in Demand
Registered dietitian Leah McGrath of Ingles Markets, noted in the Citizen-Times that canola oil has the least amount of saturated fat of any culinary oil and one of the highest heat tolerances. It is also high in monounsaturated and omega-3 fats and a good source of omega-6 fat. For these reasons plus its neutral taste, canola oil is very popular in Canada, Japan, the U.S. and Mexico.
