Whole wheat flour, raisins and canola oil combine for a great-tasting and good-for-you moist loaf!

Ingredients

  • canola oil cooking spray

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 canola oil

  • 1 cup 1 firmly packed brown sugar

  • 1 1 egg

  • 1 cup 1 unsweetened applesauce

  • 1 1/2 cups 1 1/2 whole-wheat flour

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 salt

  • 1 tsp 1 baking soda

  • 1 tsp 1 ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 ground cloves

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 allspice

  • 1 cup 1 raisins

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 ยฐF (180 ยฐC). Spray 5 x 9 inch (2 L) loaf pan with cooking spray and dust with flour.
  • Beat together canola oil, sugar and egg; add applesauce. Add dry ingredients and raisins, stirring until just combined. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
