Ingredients

  • canola oil cooking spray

  • 1/4 cup 125 ml canola oil

  • 1 cup 250 ml firmly packed brown sugar

  • 1 1 egg

  • 1 cup 250 ml unsweetened applesauce

  • 1 1/2 ml 375 ml whole-wheat flour

  • 1/4 tsp 1 ml salt

  • 1 tsp 5 ml baking soda

  • 1 tsp 5 ml ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp 1 ml ground cloves

  • 1/2 tsp 2 ml allspice

  • 1 cup 250 ml raisins

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Spray 5 x 9 inch (2 L) loaf pan with cooking spray and dust with flour.
  • Beat together canola oil, sugar and egg; add applesauce. Add dry ingredients and raisins, stirring until just combined. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
